Broncos bolster O-line by adding Donald Stephenson
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) The Super Bowl champs finally had something to celebrate Wednesday, agreeing to a three-year deal with offensive lineman Donald Stephenson.
The agreement came on a day the Denver Broncos lost Brock Osweiler to Houston, Malik Jackson to Jacksonville and Danny Trevathan to Chicago.
The versatile Stephenson can play either tackle position. He's a fifth-year pro who started 21 games for the Chiefs over the last four seasons. He's also played some guard and tight end for Kansas City.
The Broncos are bolstering their offensive line which was riddled by injuries last year. They lost tackles Ryan Clady (ACL) and rookie Ty Sambrailo (shoulder) to IR.
Clady has said he's willing to take a pay cut from his $9.5 million salary in 2016.
