Brady and Gronk turn to their mothers for support

Aren't moms great?

We all saw the controversial end to the Patriots-Panthers game on Monday night. In case you've been on Mars and haven't seen it on an endless loop, here it is:

And here's another angle so you can really bask in the interference-ness:

Well, the refs didn't agree and picked up the flag.

Game over. Patriots lose. Well, Tom Brady's mother doesn't agree. When the quarterback was pressed by reporters for any final thoughts on the non-call, Brady didn't have any. But he did say:

"My mom thought it was a penalty. Does that count?"

Gronkowksi added: "Our moms are on the same page, but we're way past that now. We're on to the Broncos."

You can watch video of Brady talking to reporters RIGHT HERE.

I wish my Mom was like that. If that was me quarterbacking the Patriots, she would have criticized me for underthrowing the pass. Then there would have been a 60-minute diatribe about how I'm killing her because she doesn't have grandchildren yet. Yeeesh ... but I digress.

Anyway, I think kudos are in order for the Patriots for handling the situation in a classy manner. Sure, Tom Brady might have lost it while running off the field on Monday, but he's been nothing but calm and mature ever since.
