Bortles sets Jaguars' single-season passing mark
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles ended his season on a high note, setting a pair of franchise records during Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans.
Bortles finished the afternoon with 239 yards passing, helping to break Mark Brunell's single-season record of 4,367 yards set in 1996. He also set a team record for most completions in a season as well.
The 23-year-old Bortles made a huge leap in his second the season in the NFL, finishing with 4,428 yard passing to go along with 35 touchdowns against 18 interceptions.
As a rookie, Bortles threw for 2,908 yards with 11 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.
Jacksonville finished the season 5-11.
