Bon Jovi, Cleveland hardly knew ya
Hey, as bad as the Cleveland Browns are, turns out there are other acts their fans want to see even less. And they don't sound too happy about it.
The team announced last week the cacellation of a planned July 14 "Fan Kickoff Concert" featuring Bon Jovi, and they did so through a terse, 35-word statement
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, less than 3,500 tickets had been sold for the event, which was actually promoted by the team (hence the sourpuss cancellation notice)
To summarize: The Cleveland Brown have never even been to a Super Bowl, finished 5-11 last season, have averaged fewer than five wins per season over the last five seasons ... and averaged more than 66,000 fans per home game. Bon Jovi has won a Grammy, sold more than 130 million records around the globe and helped usher in the glam-band era ... and can't pull in 3,500 people in Cleveland.
Guess we shouldn't expect to hear this playing at FirstEnergy Stadium anytime soon
