Bills WR Sammy Watkins will be 'full go' when camp opens Friday
Fans attending the Buffalo Bills' training camp on Friday will be treated to watching the team's most promising young player. Wide receiver Sammy Watkins confirmed on Tuesday that he'll be on the field and ready to go when camp opens on Friday.
"I'll definitely be ready to practice," Watkins said. "I'll be full go. I'll be prepared to go out there and make plays."
Not only is that great to hear for fans, but it's even better for the Bills. After undergoing hip surgery earlier this offseason, Watkins missed most of the team's practices until minicamp in June. Watkins being "full go" for training camp means he'll be out there while the team attempts to sort out its quarterback situation.
The Bills will need to figure out not only its starting quarterback, but which quarterbacks are worth keeping on the roster. The battle will come down to EJ Manuel, Tyrod Taylor, and Matt Cassel, with only two of them likely to make the 53-man roster. Thankfully for all three, they'll have their top receiver to throw to.
