Bills WR Marcus Easley: We deserved to get booed

The Buffalo Bills had arguably their worst game of the young season on Sunday as they got blasted by the New York Giants at home, 24-10.

Understandably, the fans were less than pleased with their team's performance. The "boo birds" rained down on the Bills during the game, and wide receiver Marcus Easley knows why.

"Of course, when you play at home you don’t want to play against your own fans," Easley said via Tyler Dunne of the Buffalo News. "Hearing boo’s, that’s really a wake-up call for me. When you play terrible, you should get booed. They deserve better. We should be playing a lot better than what we were. So I would say it was well-deserved. Then, you saw how we came out in the second half so it’s what we needed to hear."

To avoid being booed, Easley believes the Bills have to get off to better starts early in games.

"We just have to get it started early and not wait until we get down until we get booed by the fans to wake up," Easley said. "We have to start the game off on the right note."

The Bills will get their next chance to please the fans when they return home in Week 6 against the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals. Overall, though, the Bills have played surprisingly well through four games, including wins over the Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins.
