BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) The Buffalo Bills have signed safety Robert Blanton, who spent the past four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Minnesota in 2012 drafted Blanton, 26, in the fifth round out of Notre Dame.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder started at strong safety for the Vikings in 2014 but was a backup last season. He has recorded 188 tackles and one interception in 60 career games. He has also made 26 special teams tackles.

The Bills have some uncertainty at the safety position after starter Aaron Williams missed most of last season with a neck injury and cornerback/safety Leodis McKelvin was released last month.
