Bills QB Tyrod Taylor splits first-team reps Wednesday

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor took first-team reps in practice on Wednesday, but he wasn't the only quarterback to do so. He split reps with backup EJ Manuel, who started last week with Taylor recovering from an MCL injury.

It's a good sign that Taylor was able to practice, but his status for Sunday remains uncertain.

"As far as this week, I haven't been told anything," Taylor said via NFL.com. "This was the first day of practice and just wanted to focus on going out there and practicing today.

"Mostly, I'm just going out there taking it day by day."

Taylor suffered the knee injury two weeks ago against the Tennessee Titans after having dealt with ankle and chest injuries prior. Ryan has said several times that Taylor's been "banged up," with that being clear after he sat out Sunday's game.

If Taylor's unable to go this week, Manuel is expected to start for the second consecutive week.
