Bills LT Wang's left leg injury ruled not serious

Buffalo Bills rookie left tackle Ed Wang's left leg injury is not as serious as initially feared, and he could resume practicing within weeks.

Coach Chan Gailey provided the update following practice Wednesday, shortly after Wang was spotted walking with only a slight limp entering the team's training room. Gailey said Wang has a chance to return by the team's final offseason minicamp, a three-day session opening on June 23.

The fifth-round draft pick out of Virginia Tech was hurt during a collision while pass-blocking Saturday. Wang was unable to put any weight on his left leg and eventually carted off the field.

Competing for a backup job, Wang is the first player with direct Chinese ancestry selected in the NFL draft.
