Bills' Kyle Orton focused solely on beating Lions

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) Buffalo Bills quarterback Kyle Orton has no time to reflect back on being out of work for most of August.

Orton is too busy focusing on preparing to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday, in taking over as the Bills starter after EJ Manuel was benched Monday.

Saying the Bills (2-2) have a game to win, Orton sidestepped questions about his recent past. He was out of football after being cut by Dallas in mid-July before signing with Buffalo on Aug. 29.

And the 10-year journeyman, playing for his fourth team in four years, declined to speculate whether the game at Detroit (3-1) represents a chance to re-establish himself.

Orton is being asked to provide a spark to a sluggish offense that contributed to Buffalo losing its past two games.
