Bengals cut Odom, put Palmer on reserve

The Bengals released defensive end Antwan Odom, who's been hurt for most of the past two years, and placed quarterback Carson Palmer on a reserve list of players who hadn't reported to training camp on Friday.

Odom missed the last 10 games of the 2009 season with a torn Achilles' tendon. He started only three games last season because of a wrist injury and a suspension for using a performance enhancing substance.

Palmer has told the team he'll retire if he's not traded. He has four years left on his deal.

The Bengals also said that cornerback Adam ''Pacman'' Jones and linebacker Keith Rivers aren't able to practice because of injuries. Jones is coming off neck surgery, while Rivers had wrist surgery in the offseason.
