Bell's knee still not 100 percent

Published Apr. 24, 2015 11:36 a.m. ET

It can be argued that the knee injury suffered by Le'Veon Bell in last season's regular season finale against the Bengals cost the Steelers a deep playoff run. The All-Pro back was forced to miss the team's playoff opener against Baltimore and the rest is history.

Bell told the Tribune-Review this week that his knee is getting close to 100 percent, which may come as a surprise considering he gave approximately the same diagnosis way back in January.

Based on the training footage in his recent Instagram post, it's safe to say that Bell will be ready to go by the time training camp rolls around. And just in case he's not, he'll still have an extra three weeks to get ready for his regular-season debut
