Arizona Cardinals: Injuries take toll on team
The Arizona Cardinals not only lost the game on Sunday but also several players to injury
When it rains, it pours. The Arizona Cardinals were struggling most of the afternoon on both offense and defense. Then, injury came, in multiple.
The Cardinals started the injury parade with safety Tyvon Branch. He was questionable all week with a groin injury. He ended up being active.
However when Branch went down, he appeared to be grabbing that area again. You wonder if he did further damage or re-aggravated the injury? Either way we should find more out on his status on Monday.
Then running back Chris Johnson went down. At first his injury seemed serious. His injury is reported as a groin injury as well. We should find more out about him as well on Monday according to Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians.

It didn’t end there. Starting running back David Johnson went down and you had to think can it get any worse? Yes and no. Johnson did return to the game, so bullet dodged there.
There was another injury though and it arguably is the one with the most concern. Quarterback Carson Palmer went down in the fourth quarter after taking a low hard hit on the leg.
The thought there at first was that Palmer took a bad hit down low. Arians was livid. There were no flags and Palmer came off the field.
He looked alright on camera sitting on the sideline but then he took a walk to the locker room. his day was over and it was announced he was in concussion protocol.
He wasn’t the last guy down though. In the Cardinals final drive, tight end Darren Fells went down. It was reported as a stinger and he will be fine.
Now with the quick turn around playing on Thursday Night Football at the San Francisco 49ers, there is concern any of the players would be available to play outside of Fells.
