Arizona Cardinals banged up but ready for Seahawks

The Arizona Cardinals should already have a good idea who will be inactive Sunday night

The Arizona Cardinals already know of a few players they could be without on Sunday night as they host the Seattle Seahawks.  One of those players could be receiver John Brown, who is listed as doubtful.

The Cardinals know they will be without defensive end Ed Stinson.  His injured toe will once again keep him out of action. Also, linebacker Gabe Martin is listed as doubtful with an injured knee.

As for Brown, he was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Trait this week as his legs have been bothering him for a long time.  Brown hadn’t been completely ruled out as of Friday but it didn’t look good.

Cardinals Guard Mike Iupati, who was injured a couple of weeks ago against the San Francisco 49ers and missed the New York Jets game last Monday night, could return Sunday night.  He participated in practice in full both Thursday and Friday.

That would be good news to see Iupati back on the field quicker than some initially thought.  John Wetzel and Earl Watford played very well in the absence of Iupati and guard Evan Mathis, who was lost for the season in the same 49ers game.  However, Iupati is one of the best run blockers in the game and the Cardinals could sure use him against a defense like the Seahawks.

It appears quarterback Carson Palmer and receiver Jaron Brown, both listed as questionable, will play.  Both were limited in practice but in Palmer’s case especially, he doesn’t necessarily need to practice to play.  We’ll see what happens with Brown.

The Cardinals aren’t the only banged up team.  The Seahawks are banged up as well.  It looks like they will be without safety Kam Chancellor once again.  It was thought he would return Sunday night earlier in the week but he is listed as questionable.

Four players have been ruled out for the Seahawks on Sunday night.  Defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson, linebackers Kevin Pierre-Louis, running back Thomas Rawls, and tight end Luke Willson will all miss the game Sunday night as well.

Despite all the banged up players it should still be a great battle between two very good teams. That doesn’t mean the Cardinals don’t need fans help Sunday night.

The Cardinals are fired up for the Seahawks.  Win and they are just a half-game out of first place in the NFC West. Birdgang will represent Sunday night.
