BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) Two people familiar with the plans have told The Associated Press that Buffalo Bills officials are visiting Alabama on Friday to meet with Crimson Tide defensive tackle Jarran Reed, a projected first-round draft pick.

The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because the meeting, which will include dinner, has not been publicized. Bills representatives will include defensive coaches and at least one player personnel official.

The meeting takes place six days before the NFL draft. The Bills have the 19th pick, and have several needs to fill on their defensive front.

At 6-foot-3 and 307 pounds, Reed is regarded as a disruptive force and combined for 5 1/2 sacks in two seasons at Alabama.

Reed was scheduled to make a pre-draft visit to the Bills headquarters over the past month, but had to cancel because of the birth of his child.
