Alex Okafor hopes to stay healthy and put up huge sack numbers
Arizona Cardinals outside linebacker Alex Okafor was on pace for a huge year last season until an injury limited his production. This year, Okafor is feeling healthy and hopes to put up the monster sack numbers he knows he is capable of.
"Alex has improved and in 16 games he would have been a double-digit sack guy last year," head coach Bruce Arians told Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. "He's just got to stay healthy."
This is the first offseason where Okafor has had no nagging injuries. Okafor told Arizona Sports 98.7 FM that he hopes a healthy offseason will translate into a full season on the field.
"I had a full offseason, no hampering injuries," he said. "This is the first one I've ever had. I can already see the strength gains in the weight room and I think that will make a significant difference on the field.
"And I'm excited about that."
