Aaron Rodgers explains his bizarre theories on UFO sightings
We already knew that Aaron Rodgers was a fan of galaxies far, far away. After a recent podcast appearance, we might have an extraterrestrial explanation for Rodgers' "Star Wars" affinity.

With the NFL enjoying the quietest part of its offseason, the Green Bay Packers quarterback joined the "You Made It Weird" podcast with Pete Holmes on Wednesday. And rather than talk about the upcoming draft or, say, about Peyton Manning's retirement, Rodgers had a bigger topic on his mind:
Aliens. CUE THE X-FILES.
Well, maybe not aliens, per se -- but UFOs, to be sure. Rodgers explained the time he had a close encounter of the first kind shortly before he was drafted by the Packers. The event started with a piercing siren that got Rodgers' attention (via NFL.com):
"It was a large orange, left-to-right-moving object," Rodgers explained to Holmes. "Because of the overcast nature of the night and the snow, you couldn't make out ... it was behind the clouds we were seeing, but it was definitively large, moving from left to right. ... It was me, Steve, and his brother that saw it.
"And it goes out of sight and we look at each other and go, 'What in the f--- was that?'"
If Rodgers had left it there, that'd be fine. He'd join a long list of celebrities who've purportedly had their own UFO sightings. But Rodgers went full conspiracy theorist on us, breaking down the circumstantial evidence that proves this was a paranormal event. According to Rodgers, then heard fighter jets along with the alarm:
"Now, if you know anything about UFO sightings or you've done research, you know that a lot of times two things are connected to UFO sightings," said the two-time MVP and Super Bowl champion. "One is the presence of fighter jets. And two, there's a lot of sightings around nuclear power plants. So to tie it all together, the alarm we heard from 30 miles out was a nuclear power plant that had an alarm that went off."
Here's where we stop to point out that Rodgers was on a comedy podcast. While he sounded serious and like he believes what he was saying, there's a non-zero chance that he was troll.
Now, to Rodgers' credit (if he is being serious), a Google search for "UFOs nuclear power plants" returns about half-a-million results. Back in January of 2015, the director of a French nuclear power plant reportedly said that a UFO had visited the facility.
There's also this video that's a popular result for said search, although one YouTube commenter points out that's not necessarily a nuclear power plant in the video:
Lastly, there's this from the sixth man to walk on the moon, who claims that aliens fired projectiles at test missiles in order to disable them.

If aliens are hanging around and investigating our most powerful weapons, it'd make sense that they're interested in Rodgers. As far as we can tell, the guy is a Jedi.
