2017 NFL Regular Season: Minnesota Vikings home and away opponents

The Minnesota Vikings will enter the 2017 NFL regular season with an interesting and very winnable assortment of opponents on their schedule.

Looking at the 2017 NFL regular season right now may seem ludicrous, but most can agree the 2016 season is a lost cause. 2016 actually can’t end soon enough for many of us. The next several months will be spent restoring the faith and optimism we have each September. A lot will happen before then, but there’s much to like when taking a peek at Minnesota’s 2017 opponents.

The Vikings will play their home-and-home series against division rivals, in addition to playing each team from the NFC South and AFC North. Rounding out the schedule will be games against the 3rd place teams from the NFC East and NFC West.

Here is a list of the teams the Minnesota Vikings will play both at home and on the road during the 2017 NFL season:

The exact dates and times of each 2017 NFL regular season game is yet to be announced. We do know the Vikings’ game vs Cleveland will take place in London in either Week 7 or Week 8. It will be Minnesota’s second trip to London, but first time playing a game at Twickenham Stadium.

The Vikings would likely have their bye week immediately following the trip overseas. Minnesota also plays their first game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2017. The $1.4 billion facility replaces the Georgia Dome as the Atlanta Falcons home field.

If the 2016 season ended today, the Vikings would play only four playoff teams during the 2017 NFL regular season. Of course that includes playing Green Bay and Detroit twice, just as Minnesota does every season.

The NFL typically spends a couple of months hammering out the logistics before announcing a specific schedule in mid-April. The Viking Age will be sure to give you updates on the 2017 games when they are available.
