Wizards' Wall, Blatche out with injuries
Washington Wizards rookie point guard John Wall and forward Andray Blatche were inactive for Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Wall, who's suffering from tendinitis in his right knee, will miss his eighth game this season, and Blatche is out with soreness in his left knee. Blatche, who missed two games last week with a bruised right hip, will miss his third game.
Wall has also missed games with injuries to his left foot and left knee.
He's averaging 16.7 points and 8.9 assists in 15 games.
Wizards coach Flip Saunders dismissed talk that Wall's shoes caused a problem. Saunders said that the knee injury is due to inactivity.
During Tuesday's game against the Lakers, forward Yi Jianlian sprained his right knee in the first quarter while fouling Ron Artest during a layup and was immediately helped to the locker room. The team announced he would not return.
Yi, acquired in an offseason trade with the New Jersey Nets, was averaging 7.1 points entering the game.
