The Boston Celtics are one of the most active teams on the trade market every year. They're always looking to upgrade their own assets or cash out, when it makes sense (i.e. Isaiah Thomas).
But which player on the current roster is worth the most? Whose value is the highest? Here's a look at a few options, including Marcus Smart, courtesy of FanSided's Hoops Habit:
"Smart had a terrific rookie debut for the Celtics last season, were he made huge impact for the team on both ends of the floor. Smart is only 21 years old, and he has ideal size for the point guard/two-guard position. He is a very physical guard, who is a hound on the defensive end, which is why he probably has the best trade value. His youth and potential is what makes Smart so intriguing to other teams looking for a young franchise point guard to be. If the Celtics want to ship Smart out for some reason, they should get some great players or high draft picks in return."
The Celtics have no interest in moving on from Smart this early in his career. But if a young superstar (like DeMarcus Cousins) grew disgruntled and asked for a trade, Smart would be one of the first trade chips that team asks for.
