Watch Sergey Karasev dunk on his surgically repaired knee

Sergey Karasev has been recovering from a knee injury for the past five months after dislocating his patella and tearing his MCL back in March. He's not nearly all the way back, yet, but he is getting closer.

Karasev wants the world to know he's now throwing down:

It's a great feeling to come back from a major injury and do something you haven't been physically able to accomplish for almost half-a-season. The next steps involve getting into actual basketball shape.

Karasev played in just 33 games this past season, though he did start 16 of them. The 21-year-old still has promise and was billed as a shooter heading into the 2013 draft, when the Cavaliers selected him 19th overall.
