Warriors vs. Raptors: Preview
The new-look Golden State Warriors will take the floor for the first time this preseason.
Basketball is back! Well, kinda. Preseason basketball is upon us and that’s still better than no basketball.
The new-look Warriors will take the floor for the first time since signing Zaza Pachulia. Newcomer Kevin Durant will also be there. So will all of the familiar faces.
The 2016-17 season is upon us. The Warriors travel to Vancouver to take on the Toronto Raptors. The team has been practicing for a few days now and everyone’s excited about the season ahead of them.
The Warriors have two new starters and a revamped bench. These preseason games are, mostly, meaningless, but teams can start to test things out. Head coach Steve Kerr has the most talented team in the NBA, but he has to figure out how to maximize it.
While the excitement is understandable, fans aren’t going to get a whole lot of action from the stars. Kerr said that he doesn’t see anyone playing over 20 minutes. Expect a lot of end of bench guys trying to earn their spot on the team.
Despite that, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson will all play a basketball game together for the Warriors. And that’s incredibly fun. They’ll use this preseason game to continue to get used to each other.
