Warriors G Ellis hospitalized after fall
Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis was sent to the hospital for further examination following a hard fall on his head in Sunday night's 104-103 loss to the Sacramento Kings.
A Warriors spokesman said Ellis will not travel with the team for Monday's game at Denver, marking the first game he will miss all season. Ellis was already hobbled by a strained right ankle and finished with just seven points and four assists in 26 minutes.
Ellis was fouled hard by DeMarcus Cousins on a driving layup with 1:32 remaining, falling head-first onto the floor. Ellis was briefly motionless and was so woozy when he stood up that teammates had to help him balance. He was helped to the locker room and did not return.
Ellis told teammates afterward he was feeling better.
