Turns out the Warriors are pretty good

“Kevin Durant poured in 39 points to guide the Warriors past his former team, 122-96, Thursday night at Oracle Arena. Oklahoma City (4-1) owned a 32-31 advantage after the opening frame, but Durant and Co. dominated when Russell Westbrook headed to the bench to begin the second quarter.”

The worst part of last night was seeing angry Kevin Durant. Where was that guy in his time in OKC? The knock on Kevin Durant was that he didn’t have the killer instinct; turns out we should have been mean to the kid all along. On the Thunder side I’m not too worried. They started off strong, but the intensity wore off as the game went on. That’s what happens when you play a top-five team the night before AND WIN. I’m not worried about this team.

More from Thunderous Intentions

“Thunder GM Sam Presti scored two major wins on Monday. First, he avoided giving out backbreaking deals to Adams and Oladipo, both of whom could have commanded far more as top restricted free agents next summer. Second, his new signings, coupled with the recently extended Russell Westbrook, give Oklahoma City a core trio that looks far better on paper from a long-term perspective than the alternate reality…”

Can you tell I’m trying to find ANYTHING but coverage from last night’s game? Adams and Oladipo ranked out at 3rd and 7th respectively, but both deals were praised. Oladipo’s deal is more worrisome only because I’m not sure he has the potential to be an all-star like Adams. Yeah Steven got more money, but Steven also has a much higher potential.

Jerami Grant is already an Oklahoma City hero

At least KD took one L last night.
