Video Rewind: Steph and KD connect for fast break dunk

The Golden State Warriors’ MVPs, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, connected on a great play in which they turned defense into quick, fancy offense.

The Golden State Warriors are going to have a lot of fun this year. As their stars play more minutes together, they get to play more freely and loosely. And they can do some pretty special things on the basketball court.

Steph Curry and Kevin Durant are dynamic players. They can do some things that will blow your mind. Curry’s a wizard with the ball in his hands and Durant’s freakishly long body makes him a larger-than-life presence.

The Warriors want to move fast and score the ball. Often, they try to do so as creatively as possible. They did that against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Take a look at how quickly and how spectacularly this play develops and finishes.

The play starts with the Durant defense. He blocked a Nick Young three pointer. The two teams were fighting for the rebound when Curry picked up the loose ball.

He dribbled on the left side of the court and when his angle got cut off, he whipped a behind-the-back pass to Durant who was about to cross half court. He kept running and tracked it down. KD then rose up for the dunk.

They turned defense into quick offense. Durant used his extremely long arms to block the jump shot then Curry flashed the vision and passing. When the two MVPs get in sync and in a rhythm, it’s over for the rest of the league.
