Portland Trail Blazers host the ‘super team’ Golden State Warriors: how to watch

The Portland Trail Blazers get their first, and probably best, shot at beating the ‘super team’ tonight at the Moda Center. As with any Warriors’ game these days, the tickets are expensive on the secondary market. The game will air on NBA TV and also CSNNW at 7p.m. Pacific. Portland’s 620 AM will have the radio play-by-play.

It will be the first meaningful game these two teams have played since their battle during the second round of the NBA playoffs last season. Although the Warriors famously added Kevin Durant, they have not been as impressive as their star studded starting lineup would suggest. If the Trail Blazers’ want to beat the Warriors – it might as well be tonight. It is only a matter of time before Golden State plays up to their potential.

The Trail Blazers somehow left Denver with a win Saturday night. Damian Lillard stole a victory from the Nuggets with a game-tying layup in regulation… followed by a game-winning floater in overtime. His play through three games is justifying the MVP talk prior to the season. If he leads the Trail Blazers to a victory tonight, Lillard just may be the front-runner.

Even with how talented the Warriors are, the Blazers have a deeper team. If Portland wants a victory tonight, the bench will have to stand out. Through three games, the bench is hit-or-miss. The depth of the Trail Blazers’ roster should be their biggest strength. If there is one team where the Blazers’ bench needs to dominate – it’s the Warriors.
