Timofey Mozgov 'didn't want to complain' about knee issues during NBA Finals
Timofey Mozgov hadn't been on anything close to a championship-caliber team in his four-plus NBA seasons before joining the Cavaliers last year, and he wasn't about to miss his first chance to compete for an NBA title.
Mozgov was experiencing knee issues during the postseason, and an MRI revealed loose particles that led to arthroscopic surgery in July. But Cleveland's starting center kept quiet about it until after the season was finished.
The surgery wasn't considered serious, and Mozgov is expected to be available once training camp begins at the end of the month.
While teams obviously don't want their players doing anything that could jeopardize the longevity of their careers, the Cavaliers have to be pleased with Mozgov's commitment to the team, and his willingness to sacrifice what might have been best for him individually.

Mozgov told the team that he didn't want to complain about anything during the postseason that ended in a loss to Golden State in The Finals. He was so excited to be playing on a good team with a shot at the title, he figured he'd play through the pain.
