Thunder's Reid has surgery on broken nose

Published Jan. 4, 2012 7:46 p.m. ET

Oklahoma City Thunder reserve Ryan Reid will miss two to four weeks after having surgery to repair a broken nose.

General manager Sam Presti said Wednesday that Reid had a successful procedure performed. The Thunder traded for Reid after he was chosen in the second round of the 2010 draft. He has yet to play in an NBA game, spending last season with Oklahoma City's NBDL affiliate in Tulsa before making the NBA roster this season.

Team spokesman Matt Tumbleson says Reid was hurt when he banged his head on the back of a teammate's head during a recent workout.
