These two NBA stars still live with their moms

If you made millions of dollars, lived like a star and could get any apartment or house you wanted, who would you choose as your roommate? Would you live alone? Would you invite one of your best friends from college or from growing up? Or would you still live at home with your mom?

For the Trail Blazers starting backcourt, that answer is apparently easy.

Yes, Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum still live with their mothers, who both moved out to Portland to take care of their sons, according to Ben Cohen's wonderful feature at the Wall Street Journal

That's not even the best part, though. Lillard isn't just having his mother wake him when he oversleeps, and McCollum isn't just having to take out the trash. Cohen writes the four of them are actually hanging out together:

McCollum’s mom didn’t know many people when she moved to Portland. But it turned out there was someone else in the area who had the same schedule: Lillard’s mom. The mothers of the Blazers’ best players are now friends. They hang out without Lillard and McCollum. The four of them also hang out together.

“If there’s a boxing match, or a Ronda Rousey fight, or a big game, I always have something at my house,” Lillard said. “C.J. and his mom will always come.”

Lillard and McCollum make up the Western Conference's only backcourt with both members averaging 20 points per game or more. With Kobe Bryant retiring at the end of the season, maybe one of them can adapt the nickname, "Black Momba."
