The Hawks won Twitter after blowout loss to the Spurs
The Atlanta Hawks were destroyed by the San Antonio Spurs over the weekend, in a game between two stylistically similar teams. Unfortunately for Atlanta, they aren't quite on San Antonio's level just yet.
And it showed all night long. But thankfully, afterwards, the Hawks flashed a good sense of humor about the whole thing:
Atlanta would be an eight seed in the East if the season ended today. That's miles from where they were at this time last year, and it sometimes feels like they're a team in transition.
But the Hawks are more concerned with building a positive long-lasting culture than the outcome of any single game, and they're one of the more intelligent groups in basketball. There's nothing to worry about, which is why they can laugh.
