Steph Curry crosses up Marvin Williams, hits 8 three-pointers in first half
Stephen Curry has been looking for his own shot of late and that trend didn't change Wednesday. The Golden State Warriors star, who has turned it on since the calendar flipped to 2017, torched the Charlotte Hornets in the first half, scoring 26 points and hitting 8 of 10 three-pointers.
Curry's seventh from beyond the arc was especially impressive. The reigning two-time MVP received a pass from Draymond Green at the top of the key while being chased by Hornets forward Marvins Williams. Curry came to an immediate stop after getting the ball and changed directions, which left Williams on the floor. The All-Star guard took full advantage of the opening, pulling up while Williams tried to regain his balance.

If you needed further proof of just how hot Curry currently is, he pulled a few steps past the half-court line, knocking down a shot from just inside the 'G' in the Warriors' logo with 20 seconds on the shot clock.

The Warriors took a 77-56 lead into the half. Curry, who averaged 27.8 points per game in January, is threatening to topple his own mark for 3-pointers in a game, needing only six more in the second half to break the record.
Curry had a more modest second half, hitting three more 3-pointers and finishing with 39 points in the Warriors' 126-111 blowout. But Curry's quiet second half had more to do with him not playing in the fourth quarter due to the margin of victory than cooling off after halftime. He finished 14 of 20 from the floor and 11 of 15 from deep, his fifth career game of at least 11 3-pointers.
