Shane Larkin: I 'couldn't grow in an offense I wasn't comfortable in'
Phil Jackson threw some shade Shane Larkin's way, but the Miami product came back firing.
Larkin wasn't exactly quiet after Jackson called him out in his latest version of the Phil Files at ESPN, where Jackson said, "Unfortunately, Shane hasn’t grown any since the start of the season."
So, here's what Larkin tweeted:
Larkin has since left the Knicks and signed a deal with the crosstown Nets.
New York didn't exactly provide the best scheme for a pick-and-roll heavy point guard. The Knicks' triangle offense steered clear of ball screens and instead put a reliance on Larkin to play without the ball. It didn't look, and whatever the reason, he certainly never appeared comfortable.
Maybe it can be different in Brooklyn, where the Nets run lots of pick-and-roll and keep their offense super simple.
