The Sacramento Kings are an interesting bunch. What else is new???

The Kings entered today’s game against the Toronto Raptors with a record of 0-4 on their current five-game road trip. With their last chance to earn some pride, the Kings were able to complete the upset over the Raptors by a score of 96-91.

Like most games for Sacramento this season, the purple and white were competitive in today’s game. In the first half, Toronto lead for the most part, but the Kings kept the score close against the Eastern Conference powerhouse.

Then the second half was in session, and the Kings were able to rally. As a result, the Kings lead the Raptors 68-66 after three-quarters. When the final period came into play, it was a gritty battle as both teams swapped leads continuously. But in the end, Sacramento was able to lean on Cousins and Gay to help the team come up on top.

Notable players from the Kings today were DeMarcus Cousins who recorded 22 points and 14 rebounds, Rudy Gay (who came back from rib injury) scored 23 points, and Matt Barnes who recorded 8 points and 10 rebounds.

The Kings have concluded their week-long road trip with a record of 1-4. Their season record is now 3-5. Their next game will take place on Tuesday in the Golden 1 Center when they face off against Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans.
