Rondo went from shabby to classy

When Kevin Garnett was with the Celtics, he had a nickname for Rajon Rondo: Swag.

Rondo’s style choices were unmatched on the team — not better or worse, just different. While Paul Pierce preferred three-piece suits and Garnett had a soft spot for sweaters, Rondo’s fashion is a little more out there. The only NBA player who might be more daring with his outfits is Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook.

As he recovers from right ACL surgery, Rondo has had a lot of time to pursue his passion for fashion. He spoke about it as part of American Express’ “Off the Court” marketing series.

“I’m Rajon Rondo, point guard for the Boston Celtics, and my off-court passion is style,” Rondo says at the beginning of the video. ”My attitude is, be fresh, play fresh, have the right attitude and play the right way.”
