Rockets reassign G Smith to D-League

The Houston Rockets have reassigned guard Ish Smith to Rio Grande Valley, the team's developmental league affiliate.

The undrafted rookie from Wake Forest was recalled by Houston on Jan. 24. Smith averaged 2.8 points and 2.2 assists in 26 games for the Rockets this season.

He was originally assigned to the Vipers on Jan. 17. He averaged 12.8 points, seven assists and four rebounds in four games before the Rockets recalled him.
