Rockets' Howard and Beverley out

Published Mar. 29, 2014 8:03 p.m. ET

HOUSTON (AP) Dwight Howard and Pat Beverley will miss the Rockets' game against the Los Angeles Clippers because of injuries.

Howard is day to day with a left ankle strain and Beverley has a torn meniscus in his right knee and is out indefinitely.

Beverley was examined by Houston's team doctor and will seek a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews on Monday. Beverly said before Saturday's game that he could be out anywhere from 10 days to four weeks.

This is the fourth game Howard has missed with his injury. Omer Asik will start in his place and Jeremy Lin will start for Beverley.
