Rick Carlisle: 'I have no plans on leaving'

Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle is one of the league's most respected coaches, and there's no doubt a lot of teams around the league would love to have him.

With Carlisle entering the last year of his contract, it's fair to speculate about his future with the Mavericks, especially with Dirk Nowitzki likely retiring soon.

Here's what Carlisle told Dallas radio station 105.3 The Fan about his future:

“Well, I love Dallas, and it’s been a tremendous opportunity and experience for the family,’’ Carlisle tells 105.3 The Fan. “I have no plans on leaving, but I don’t talk about my contract situation … I go day-to-day.’’
