Richard Jefferson might not be retiring after all
Richard Jefferson announced that he was planning on retiring after the Cleveland Cavaliers won their first NBA title Sunday.
Which seemed a fitting way for the 36-year-old forward to call it a career.
But during the Cavaliers' victory parade and rally in Cleveland on Wednesday, the NBA vet found himself singing a different tune.
Jefferson took his spot center stage at the NBA title rally to shouts of "one more year" from the crowd, and then asked Cleveland fans if they thought he should play another season.
"If you guys want me to play one more year, I'll play one more year," Jefferson said.
Does Richard Jefferson have one more NBA year in him?
Of course, LeBron James had his own theory as to why Jefferson said he wanted to retire in the first place.
"I don't think he realized that he was going to eventually be playing 35 minutes in Finals games," James said of RJ during the rally. "And that's why he said he quit the other night."
