Report: Thunder place Jones, Novka and Lamb on the trading block
With just a day left before the NBA draft, rumors are swirling that the Thunder are trying to obtain an extra pick or move up a few spots. Doing so won't be easy or cheap, which is why they're shopping Perry Jones III, Steve Novak and Jeremy Lamb, according to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.
Jones and Lamb have had flashes of promise, but they've mostly disappointed during their tenure with the Thunder. During Durant's absence, things seemed to finally click for Jones as he strung together multiple impressive performances. Then he injured his ankle, and when he returned, so too did his passive mentality. Both players still have talent and potential, but they may need to go elsewhere to realize it.
