Report: Spurs have interest in Oklahoma City's 14th pick

Published Jun. 25, 2015 4:29 p.m. ET

The San Antonio Spurs have a pick late in the first round, and those don't typically yield impact players. Given that they're finally inching towards a state of transition, could this be the year San Antonio decides to move up in the draft?

Apparently, the answer may be yes.

It's unclear what San Antonio would be willing to offer apart from its own first-round pick. The Thunder are always interested in clearing salary, though, so perhaps there's a scenario where the Spurs take D.J. Augustin or Perry Jones III's salary off their hands.

Or, maybe this is just another draft-related rumor that has no chance of coming true.
