One of the top free agents of this year’s class is reportedly on his way to the San Antonio Spurs.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Spurs will sign All-Star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge.

It’s not really a surprising move, considering San Antonio has been linked to Aldridge in recent weeks and received two meetings with the power forward.

Aldridge will join Kawhi Leonard, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker to form a dangerous contender that will attempt to overthrow the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

Aldridge will also find himself replacing Tim Duncan as the face of the Spurs franchise in the not-so-distant future. That, in addition to returning to his home state, likely played a major role in Aldridge’s decision.

Considered one of the top big men in the Association, the soon-to-be 30-year-old is coming off a 2014-15 campaign in which he averaged 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
