Report: Raptors sign DeMarre Carroll to 4-year, $60 million contract
We're barely a twelve hours into free agency and already the Toronto Raptors have made one of the summer's biggest signings. DeMarre Carroll, former swingman for the Atlanta Hawks who made a name for himself with his offensive and defensive versatility has agreed to a four-year, $60 million contract with the Raptors. One of the best parts of this news is that it wasn't one of the usual reporters who broke it, but Carroll himself.
Versatility and depth on the wing was a major need for the Raptors, and Carroll provides all that and more. An elite three-and-d player, he can play the two, the three, and the four and defend four positions. Great get for the Raptors.
