The Truth is not retiring just yet.

Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports that Washington Wizards forward Paul Pierce is “set on” returning for a 18th NBA season, citing “a person with knowledge of the situation.” Castillo also writes that it’s not yet certain which team Pierce will play for, although he lists the Wizards and Los Angeles Clippers as possibilities.

Pierce averaged 11.9 points in 26.2 minutes per game this season, his first with the Wizards. He also was one of the team’s best players in the playoffs and hit several clutch shots.

Based on his performance in 2014-15, he still has plenty of good basketball in him and would be an ideal fit for a team that is a piece or two away from seriously contending for an NBA championship.
