Report: Lockout held for Bosh's wedding

The lavish wedding of Miami Heat giant Chris Bosh and petite beauty Adrienne Williams prompted a brief lifting of the NBA lockout as he and his fellow players, including LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, partied along with team executives, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

The happy couple celebrated with 300 guests at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach with three days of spectacular events over the weekend. During the lockout, which began July 1, NBA executives and players are forbidden from making any contact with each other.

But while Heat stars James, Wade and Juwan Howard were seated in an area separate from the executives, they later mingled on the dance floor with team general manager Pat Riley, coach Erik Spoelstra, vice president Nick Arison, the son of Heat owner Micky Arison and former Heat all-star Alonzo Mourning, who now works in player relations. They got special permission from the league to attend the glitzy bash together.

One guest said, "The players were on one side of the ballroom, the executives on the other, and later they met on the dance floor."

Guests including Serena Williams, "Burn Notice" star Gabrielle Anwar and Niche Media founder Jason Binn enjoyed a Latin-themed party on Friday and a lavish ceremony Saturday featuring $25,000 worth of custom-made scented candles. Fireworks erupted after they cut their cake.

The five-foot (152cm) Williams wore an Oscar de la Renta gown and custom $10,000 crystal-encrusted Christian Louboutin heels with powder-blue soles instead of the brand's trademark red soles. The two-year-old daughter of 6ft 10in (208cm) Bosh, Trinity, served as a flower girl.

About 100 guests then celebrated at the unofficial after-party at the Fontainebleau's club Arkadia until 5:00am local time. The marathon festivities, produced by Miami-based Triton Productions, ended with a Sunday brunch.
