Report: Dwight Howard hospitalized after flight

Atlanta Hawks center Dwight Howard was hospitalized on Sunday night after feeling ill on an airplane flight to Atlanta, reported The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

According to the report, the 30-year-old Howard suffered from dehydration and is expected to be released from the hospital Monday morning.

Howard had just completed a 10-day promotional tour in China and had posted videos showing him working with a shooting coach. Howard signed a three-year, $70.5 million deal with Atlanta after spending the previous three seasons with the Houston Rockets.

Howard is an eight-time NBA All-Star, and three-time Defensive Player of the Year. He has three straight seasons from 2008-09 to 2010-11.

He has career averages of 17.8 points, 12.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 12 seasons with the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, and Rockets
