Report: 76ers may trade Jahlil Okafor despite leading team in scoring

The 76ers' plan to rebuild through the draft might go on longer than anyone anticipated.

In the midst of its third straight sub-20 win season, Philadelphia might trade last year's No. 3-overall pick Jahlil Okafor in the summer, according to Philly.com. Despite averaging a team-leading 17.5 points before having season-ending arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, the team reportedly will decide between dealing Okafor or Joel Embiid.

Embiid, the third-overall pick in 2014, hasn't played in the NBA because of a litany of injuries.

The Sixers have little to show for since going on this all-out tanking philosophy. In 2013, Philly drafted Michael Carter-Williams No. 11 overall, but after winning Rookie of the Year honors, the team dealt him to Milwaukee. The team also dealt Jrue Holiday to New Orleans for Nerlens Noel, who was taken No. 6.
