Report: 76ers interested in Pelicans guard Norris Cole
The status of restricted free agent point guard Norris Cole is one of the last remaining questions for the New Orleans Pelicans this offseason. But if the Pelicans are looking to bring Cole back, they'll have some competition for his services.
This according to Mike Scotto of SheridanHoops.com, who reports that the Philadelphia 76ers have "expressed interest" in Cole.
Because Cole is a restricted free agent, the Pelicans have the right to match any offer he receives from another team. And with New Orleans' point guard rotation in the air given the reported recurring right leg injuries faced by Jrue Holiday, it might behoove the Pelicans to bring Cole back to help bridge the gap until Holiday returns at full-strength or New Orleans finds a different answer at the position.
