Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

The Golden 1 Center hosted its second game tonight as the Sacramento Kings faced off against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Tonight’s game was also televised on ESPN for the entire country to see. Unfortunately, this means that the national audience saw the Kings fall to their division foe by a score of 92-89.

The Kings started out hot as they lead the Clippers 30-26 at the end of the first quarter. But as the game progressed, the Clippers had their way with the Kings for the majority of the contest. Sacramento tried to make an epic comeback as they trailed by only 3 points in the final seconds of the game, but they just ran out of time.

Their official home opener and christening of the Golden 1 Center will take place on October 27th against the San Antonio Spurs.
