Players back coach's must-hear rant ripping refs' treatment of Howard

Published Feb. 1, 2016 11:10 a.m. ET

Houston Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff had plenty to say about how center Dwight Howard is not treated fairly by the NBA's referees after Howard was ejected a second time in as many games during Saturday's loss to Washington.

Bickerstaff said Howard is going to wind up getting injured if defenders continue to be allowed to hold, push and hit him without consequence.

Howard said, via the Houston Chronicle, that he appreciates his coach having his back.

Guard Patrick Beverley said the players stand behind their coach "1,000 percent."
