Pelicans' Davis, Evans out; Kings coach Karl out sick
NEW ORLEANS (AP) New Orleans Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry says starting forward Anthony Davis and starting point guard Tyreke Evans will sit out Thursday night's game against Sacramento.
The Kings, meanwhile, will be without coach George Karl, who has a stomach illness. Associate head coach Chad Iske is taking over for Karl on the sidelines.
Davis is out because of a concussion suffered during New Orleans' loss to Houston on Monday night. Evans is sidelined by right knee tendinitis.
Davis leads the Pelicans in scoring, with 22.9 points per game, and rebounds, with 10.2 per game. Evans averages 15.2 points per game.
Iske says Karl's advice to him is to have fun and trust that in their lengthy time together, he knows how to coach the way Karl would have.
